Manufacturing
BMD has wide experience in the manufacture and supply of machined parts up to 11m in length, with the
most
varied types of materials.
The manufacturing process is carried out following instructions, drawings
and
specifications, and interfacing
with the customer's technical office in order to obtain a product which conforms to the expectations and
quality standards required. If the development of prototype components or assemblies is needed, BMD can
make
use of the in-house design
studio of Herontech consortium,
of
which BMD is part.
BMD shop-floor is experienced on the machining of a wide range of differente materials.
The materials
on
which BMD can carry out workings are the most diverse: from high strength steels to composite materials
and
plastics, from nichel-based
superalloys to alluminium and magnesium, through cast iron and copper based alloys.
BMD can also supply, with the assistance of external partners and laboratories, all the special processes that usually comes before and after the machining phase, such as:
- thermal treatments,
- quenching,
- surface hardening processes,
- surface coatings,
- painting.
